StarSpace46 Chats: Ross Harper

Ross Harper is the founder, owner, and general manager of Angry Scotsman Brewing, located in downtown Oklahoma City. This craft brewery specializes in retail sales while promoting their on-site taproom and Biergarten. In this week's interview, Jeff Yenzer chats with Ross Harper about his life before coming to Oklahoma and the strange events of 2020, and how that has affected the beer business in OKC. "This was supposed to be a growth year, but with COVID-19, it's now about taking care of employees and making the business as safe and secure as we can," Ross explained.

Born in Scotland, Ross moved to the US in 2001 then to Oklahoma in 2005. He has a Ph.D. in Chemistry and spent 15 years in the Defense industry with a slight overlap with his brewing career before going all-in on Angry Scotsman earlier this year.

The next projected milestones for Ross & Angry Scotsman Brewing are expanding their distribution network and looking for new can releases down the line as they grow into their own canning line. Angry Scotsman is also known for helping causes that serve education, the environment, human rights, animal welfare, humane, and scientific organizations.
