StarSpace46 Chats: Charity Marcus

Black Women Business Owners of America is an association that supports black women entrepreneurs, business owners, and startup founders. It is BWBO America's vision to create a robust network of African American women business owners across the United States. With local chapters in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, BWBO brings together a tight-knit group of entrepreneurs and support for its members.

This week, StarSpace46 partner Jeff Yenzer sits down with Charity Marcus, a co-founder of BWBO. Charity Marcus is an entrepreneur, political strategist, and public relations professional who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As a businessperson, Charity is the founder and CEO of Avenu Consulting, a political consulting and government relations firm, and Avenu PR, a public relations and branding agency.

In the interview, Charity and Jeff discuss the rapid grown of BWBO, from a local business association in Tulsa to having a nationwide footprint.

Members of BWBO America have the opportunity to become a voice in local, state, and federal policymaking. Their mission is to help everyone have the chance to engage with elected officials while staying up to date on policy and legislation.

For those who need guidance on marketing or need business coaching, BWBO members have access to various mentors ready to help you succeed through our mentorship program. You can learn more about Charity's work with Black Women Business Owners of America on its website.
